I started my career as a content creator at CNN. I credit them with every basic skill I know about content creation, what moves people, and why. I left in 2015 to run video at Upworthy, and got the equivalent of a PhD in social, measurement, paid media and real time production.

In 2017, I had the opportunity to launch & scale global social video publisher Brut in the U.S. Our target was to grow from zero into the top 3 most viewed news publishers on Facebook. We did it in 18 months thanks to an incredible team, launching Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, YT & TikTok. & an app, and making thousands of videos in real time, thanks to a creative social strategy with real time measurement and paid media baked in.

In 2019 I was given the opportunity of a lifetime to run social content for Mike Bloomberg’s presidential campaign the week he announced. We had 3 weeks to scale a 100 person team to make ads (some wildly successful, some weird, some both) that earned massive amounts of attention. When MB dropped out, we flipped to persuasion and get-out-the-vote content for Biden and associated PACs. A paid volume & optimization campaign ramped at warp speed that surpassed social performance benchmarks across the board.

Most recently I’ve been overseeing content for Edelman globally. This amazing team has scaled real time social, TikTok, the Edelman creators bench and more; and doubled in size in the last 18 months. In my capacity overseeing ideation, strategizing and pitching 35+ clients per year, I evangelize the power of social content to brands and individuals daily. I love having these conversations because I have seen, over and over, the power of every single individual on social to entertain, spark conversations and even make huge societal change.

I love working with creators because I am one.
